Finally got to talk to a guy I've seen around my area with a LHD 348 yesterday.

Turns out he's 21 and last year (1st year of ownership) paid 3K for the insurance.

Quite shocked at the time, but when I come to think about it, I'm more surprised they'd actually insure him at 21! ;-)

probably classic insurance - the early 1990 - 1992 cars are now 10 years old and technically classic which on a limited mileage really helps...

Still 21, bast*rd!

Theres no way this guy's on limited miles, he seems to be out in it every day (convinced hes either a lottery winner or got a rich father, cos he never seems to be at work!).

Hes probably doing more miles in that than me in the M3 (and thats mileage!).

Jealous as hell, but Ive gotta say fair play to him.

Fair Play indeed. Is he the guy featured in an article (I think in evo) about buying dream cars. I think he just saved and saved since he was young.

Well Done Sir Good Man!

His piggy bank must have been heavy when he took it to the bank.

Or maybe he emptied a JCB full of loose change onto the Maranello parking lot?

When was the EVO article?

My sub only started back in December, so I might have missed that one.

It was in May 2001 (Issue 31) I think you can buy a back-issue copy on the evo website. If you like I can dig it out and photo-copy and fax to you.
