Bonnet

Just had a go at adjusting the bonnet. I removed the inner wheel covers and was amazed they were attached to the bonnet via plywood. Mine is rotten is there an easy fix or do I have remove the ply and re fiber glass it

Looks like "search" is still down, Mine are still quite solid but folks on here have posted threads where they have repaired then with alluminium chequer plate.

Maybe if not too rotten the wood could be strengthend / repaired with fibreglass ?

I beleive it was our dear departed friend Ken that made a sandwich with aluminium chequer plate either side of the remaining wood.
I have spent the last half an hour trying to find the thread but failed miserably.

Just spent all weekend fetling with alli, fiber glass and a tin of paint. had to soak the rotten wood in resin then made a couple of templates. not top end enginering but does what it says on the can. Hope this will last for years to come. thaanks for the link
