I've a scuff on my car that ChipsAway can touch up but I don't know where/which is my paint code. Its light pewter.
Anyone know where I should be looking?

Mark.

Mark, if the C5 follows the C4 tradition there should be an options code list inside the centre console lid (if a C5 has one?)

C4s show 2 codes - one marked U (for upper) and L (for lower) in case the car had an unfortunate 2 tone paint job.

Anmazingly if you go into Morellis ( see www.morelli.co.uk for branches throughout the country) thay can match your paint from this code and make up a tin or a spraycan, often while you wait or within an hour. On C4s paint was a (matt) base clear coat plus a lacquer top coat.

Morelli can even match old US car paints from the 70's. I've tried another supplier who got a white shade spectacularly wrong so I've always stuck with this Morelli bunch.

The RPO codes for the fitted options on a C5 are either under the lid of one of the hideaway luggage compartment covers in the back (MY 97 to about 2000) or in the glovebox (2000 on). Alternatively there should be a duplicate set stuck on the back of the differential (!).

The pewter paint code should be 11. Mine is electron blue which is paint code 21 and the only 21 in the sticker is a 21U near the end. Therefore I would expect you to find an 11U on your list.

Yup, Te51cle does know where to find those codes. To read them just stick "Corvette RPO code xyz" into Google and up come the answers!

Make sure you check the year matches the RPO code! You will find that the "re-cycle" paint codes and names, but they are not necessarily the same colour. For example there is a "Nassau Blue" available for the C5 "Nassau Blue" was first used on the C2 and I don't think the colours are the same!

Thanks for all the info. Label in the glovebox and has 11U in there which confirms the colour.
Thanks everyone,

Mark

Depends. They're on the door edge on my Camaro. They were on the console lid on my old C4.
