Two days ago I got a piece of steak out of the fridge.

0.002 secs later the cat appeared (uncanny, never fails) so I snipped a fatty bit off and gave it to her.

Cat suddenly wasn't interested so I threw it out for any passing and less-fussy neighbourhood cats to finish off.

Snuck out later that evening with a torch to see if it had gone. It hadn't, but was being enjoyed by a gang of nocturnal spiders!

This won't win any macro prizes but a Micro-Nikkor 105mm and SB-800 worked well enough. Crank up to f10 for decent DOF and let Mr Speedlight work out the rest from 2-foot range.

Urgh!

They're not spiders. The ones in the foreground are harvestmen (an arachnid but not a spider) and the ones in the background are earwigs, an insect. They're both scavengers.

Whatever they are, that's pretty cool!

Funnily enough woke this morning in a rented house in France to find something crawling over me in bed........ Of course, being such a tough guy, I simply flicked it off and then I ran around the bedroom screaming like a 6 year old hehe
