Just got an allotment!!!!

However its fairly overgrown with weeds so whats the best way to get rid? should i just get my arse into gear and pull them all out by hand? (it's a 90 square metre plot so may take some time!) or is there a weedkiller about that wont harm the veg i intend to plant afterwards? or another way perhaps? Thanks in advance guys

Hard graft i'm afraid. You're going to have to dig it over wether you use weed killer or not. May as well start now and get some manure dug in ready for next season. Easiest way would be to hire a rotivator. You could just cover the lot in black polythene to kill off whats there, then dig it all in the Winter. Good luck.
