where to book a break in NYC ?

guys, i am trying to book a 4 night package to NYC with flights and hotel

I am looking on expedia and the prices seem ok

coming out around £950 each for 4 nights in October at the Waldorf

should i be looking anywhere else for a better deal ? are there any travel agents on PH whoc might be able to do better ?

I'd think about booking direct for that kind of money. £400 or less for flights (although great deals via Dublin on Aer Lingus atm - £290 from Manchester rtn) and a decent hotel for £120 - £140 is achievable without having to stay in midtown which is a bit dead at night etc. Go direct to the Hyatt/Hilton/Starwood sites and look for the best deals. My wife stayed with Four Points by Sheraton (a starwood hotel group) and got great deal at less than £100/night with breakfast.
