Anyone looking to buy a TVR in the near future?

Can't say I'm actively looking. I'm keeping an eye on the classifieds & am in the research phase at the min. Looking to purchase early next year.
Initially deciding between a Cerb/Tuscan but I'm finding the Tamora interesting also.
I want the best one I can find for my budget (which may have to be stretched). I intend to get an inspection done.
If I do opt for an S6 car, my preference is for one with a rebuild.

Might be considering a purchase of a restored classic - Taimar / M / Vixen ..later this year [ Oct / Dec ] after moving house and getting a garage arranged
Also like to think that price of classic cars after the 'summer season' usually become a little more realistic or somebody may be selling to gain more space before starting another winter project
Maybe a little bit of wishful thinking on my part but thats the plan...

I'm desperate to get one of my own 
But due to ridiculous insurance premiums and the fact that I may be getting back into DH biking I need to be able to get my bike on, and thats not easy on a TVR.
I was looking at wedges, and was going to try and get one for my 21st, but that's not happening now, I'll just have to be happy with thrashing my dads 1600M on trackdays,, although we're not planning anymore this year apart from possibly donnington.

I have seen the prices increasing, particularly at dealers which certainly seem to command significant premiums over private sales even when the dealer has just purchased it from private and sellign it on.
In the end I got a very nice 05 with higher mileage than many people may look for at a price I am very happy with. I felt confident buying a car that had been looked after by a real enthusiast with bills for little bits done as and when needed and been looked after.
I was keen to get an 04 onwards for engine reliability issues, the thought of spending up to £20k and then facing a potential £8k bill within the first 2 years of ownership meant I was happier to look at spending £20-25k for a newer one which is more likely to give me 2+ years of no major bills.
I also wanted aircon and didn't want silver or black, i fancied something a little different to suit the fact it's not an everyday common car.

Not actually bought, more part-x'd. We've just moved from a Tuscan 2S with the curvy dash back down to a Chim 450.
Bit if a shame but Mrs Ubernoober found the Tuscan very uncomfortable after she had to have an op, the shape of the seat really was no good for her at all.
Plus, we're moving house shortly so those very nice guys at Fernies gave me a wedge of cash and a Chim 450 in return for my Tuscan - can't live without a TVR on the drive, way too addicted for that!
Now if it would just stop raining for a while.......

Would it be rude to ask if Fernies gave you a price you were happy with or merely one that you were just about willing to accept? Tranter, how can you get insurance on a T350 at 21!!!
I'm 20, and insurance on a wedge is into £2k, just from comparison sites, which we've learnt may give you a price online, but when you want to buy it they'll tell you they can't insure you.
On my dads 1600M just as a named driver its £1.6k ish, and when I'm 21 it'll drop to about £1000.

Been lurking on the site and thought I'd join as I'm quite serious about getting a Cerbera now.. looking to buy one in a deep colour, nothing bright that has had a recent rebuild.. Has to be an AJP, preferably a 4.2.
For some reason I am under the impression the 4.5 is not a 2+2 and just a 2 seater?
Was thinking about an E46 M3, then thought the E39 M5 handles about the same but has more power but after going to see one it just looked so incredibly boring.. barely different from every other e39 on the road.. so I went back to looking at Cerberas after spending months looking for one over a year ago but p*ssy'd out and bought a Honda S2000 instead! Nothing else can match the presence of a Cerb for the money!

I'm into my BMW's aswell & agree that the e39 M5 is not special enough. To those not in the know, it could just be a sport variant. It's only realy the tailpipes that are the giveaway.
An e46 M3 was the natural progression for me after the 330 and I still like them but I've always wanted a TVR and there's no comparison in terms of noise! M3's are also expensive to fix if something goes wrong (which they do) and servicing costs are not far off TVR's (albeit a longer servicing interval).
Don't S2000's only start getting going at around 6/7000 rpm?
