ACO published the entry list today, only one Tuscan made the 50, the other is fifth reserve - gutted!

5th reserve isnt too bad. A lot can happen between now and then.
but then again looking at the list, its doubtful.
Loads of Brit teams to be cheering on though and at least we are in chance of a win with the UK Audi teams. Plus the Lister is an Brit car manufacturer.
Infact we have a good chance of a win in the GTS category with Prodrive too.
At least Morgan are through again, wishing them and Synergy/Chambalin all the best.

COuld you post the list. Web sense decides that I should not be reading about Le Mans 24h despite working in the same group as Bently, Audi et al!

I can't believe there's half a million Porsche GT3-Rs, dull prototypes that are completely unrepresentative of anything that their supposed manufacturer makes and yet they only allow one TVR.
I though this year they were supposed to be favouring the GT and GTS classes over the GTP ones? I think they should scrap this prototype rubbish all together.

I agree and there is talk of getting rid of these prototypes next few years and focus on the true spirit of roads sportscars.
I'm gutted there is only 1 TVR, why?
Alan.

GT3-Rs annoy me so much now. They're everywhere!!
But scrapping prototypes, nooooo way

no way! The GTPs make Le Mans great.
If they get rid of them then they must bring back the GT1s...that would be even better.
GT1s are OK. They are at least remotely good looking.
I really can't understand the interest in the GTP class. Look at the Audi. Is it actually made by Audi? It certainly doesn't look, handle, weigh or have any common components with any production Audi. If you painted all the GTP cars white and removed the names, could you tell them apart? If you could, would you care? To me it is just a marketing exercise.
Now contrast with TVR against Porsche against Ferrari. Proper cars that are track-tweaked versions of the real production cars. They make Le Mans more like a 24 hour GT race. How they fair makes a real difference to my opinions of the marque, possibly influencing future purchases. And you imagine that the experience gained is used to improve the road cars.
In fact Jaguar would do well to stop fecking about in a rebadged Ford F1 car, build the F-Type and put a supercharged V8 version in Le Mans. Then the chance of me buying a Jag would be restored.
All IMO.
