high resolution photos of Spifire Hurricane needed

Need some really good high resolution photos of Spifire and Hurricane , ideally Battle of Britain mk1 variants

There aren't that many Battle of Britain survivors around.

These were taken at Shoreham last year, not great pics but then again Im not a great photographer I do have the full size images if you want any

A shot of a Spitfire from underneath like one of the above photos is one of the prettiest things flying. Those wings are a work of art.

I think a spitfire looks good from all angles...

but yes, being able to see the outline of the wings is nice

This is R4118 which is a totally authentically restored Batle of Britain Hurricane MkI. Note the colours which are standard 1940 Fighter Command camouflage and markings.

Not really Eric ,

I am looking for some really good detailed photos of both Hurricanes and Spitfires , for a Russian Colleugue

His father flew one of the first batch of delivered Soviet Hurricanes in the WW2 , he is trying to put together a collection of Spifire / Hurricane photos together for a presentation he is giving ,

That does open it up a bit. Most MkI Spitfires and Hurricanes that have been preserved or or airworthy (which is very few) have been repainted in Battle of Britain markings as that is the scheme they are most famously associated with.

Your friend would probabl;y appreciate detailed pictures of Hurricanes in Soviet marking.

You might have better luck if you check out some model aircraft magazine back issues. "Military Aircraft Monthly" (formerly called "Model Aircraft Monthly") has run a number of articles over the past couple of years about Western types supplied to the Soviets during WW2. These articles have all contained coloured artwork of aircraft such as P-39s, Bostons and Hurricanes.

I haven't seen much on Soviet operated Spitfires.
