D90 Or Wait For D7000??

Ive currently got a Nikon D40 and Im looking to upgrade very shortly. The obvious choice was a D90, I want to stay with Nikon as Ive got a few lenses I want to keep and Im used to them now.
Ive read that Nikon are due to releasing the D7000 soon, will it be much of a step up from the D90 considering the D90 has been around a couple of years now?
Or should I just get a D90 now?

Nikon naming starting with the 'best' is:

Hence a D90 should be more suitable for someone with a little experience than a D7000, which I suspect will be mostly easy-to-use auto fluffyness

Rumour Mill says D90 Replacement will be due in next 14 days .. so may we worth hanging on two weeks at least. Even if replacement is not a huge leap forward it should mean the D90 gets pushed down in value while they sell it off.

Well it will probably be that long before I buy anything as I need to sell my car first so I will keep a look out on rumourmill.
