As above really, it's a combi so have no tanks etc to worry about and i'm only bothered about covering the boiler not the pipes etc...

Would it make sense to just use BG?

Try Homeserve, the company I work for has a contract with them for plumbing emergencies and boiler breakdowns.

British Gas will try and sell you a new boiler!

If it's a WorcesterBosch, use their annual contract plan. I have, and it is excellent thumbup

Homeserve are woeful. I get their 'services' for nothing, and frankly, that's too much.

Homeserve are woeful. I get their 'services' for nothing, and frankly, that's too much.
It varies area to area as most of the work is subbed-out to local companies. There has been quite an overhaul lately in the South Wales area, a few companies were struck off for under-performing.
