Hope this is in the right forum.

I am in the process of going through some videos I took at my friends wedding as many people have asked for a copy of the speeches etc.

The best mans speech was fantastic and had everyone rolling round laughing. Unfortunately the guy sat near me had a laugh like no ones I've ever heard before and spoils the speech a little. Is there any software that people are aware of that would allow me to edit some of that out or at least quieten it down a little?

I don't want to spend loads obviously but don't mind shelling out a little for the right product.

Thanks,

Chris

Well it's not impossible, but it's bloody difficult. The trouble is the 'laugher' will probably be inhabiting the same frequency range as the speaker, so if you eq out the laughter, the speaker will also get quieter. This is the reason the TV channels couldn't get rid of the vuvusellas at the world cup.

Anyway, to do it well you'd need a shed load of good eqipment - but I'm guessing there must be some sort of free graphic equalisation software out there - if you can separate the audio from the vid, you could play with it and see what you could do.

ETA... like this http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/graphic-equal...
