Good news or bad?

I quite enjoyed following the quals on the net, back to back.
We dont get any coverage of quals down here.

So what you guys think?

Yay. I like Bernie's idea, 1hour, split into 2 30min sessions. No limit on how many cars on track at once. Everyone must go out in both 30min sessions.

With the 1st hour (deciding the proper qualifying runs an hour later) it'll give ITV ample opportunity to not upset the Coronation St/Heartbeat/other assorted crap viewers who don't understand TV scheduling and constantly need the reminders that their program will follow scrolled on top of the F1 every 5 minutes.

Oh this is still bad.

What they need to do is have a 1 hour qualifying like the used to have but not have a limit of 12 laps, have unlimited lap. Now with limited sets of tyres over the weekend this may mean drivers will still do only 12 laps (4 runs of 3 laps, out-fast-in) but it would help anyone baulked on a fast lap to slow down and do another lap without having to come in or lose a run.
