I guess there's no point buying another multi-million pound pad when you've got more than you can spend your time in already.

He's just trying to buy his way back from being a figure of hate. Too little, too late IMHO.

Profits.....hmmmm.... Profits of the publisher is it not? The cost of paying Tony Liar lies with the publisher as the cost of publishing this book...so technically, Liar has already made his money!!!

As far as I can tell, this 'story' is on thisislondon (leftie) and bbc (positively communist). Not exactly a shock that those two are trying to give the traitorous bd a bit of positive spin.

Let's see if it actually happens.

Top of the front page on BBC News.

Good luck finding a story on house prices falling as seems to have been everywhere else in the last couple of days.

Hmm, profits you say? well I guess that all depends on if anyone actually buys the book!

Guess again. These memoirs normally sell a couple of thousand copies to journalists, then they're in the 99p bins or pulped. The big advances aren't in expectation of a profitable book.

... More fundamentally bankrupt gesture politics, designed to attempt to rehabilitate his public image. Worried about his legacy and how history will judge, I don't he has got a pang of newly converted catholic guilt.
Clearly it's going to be a snow job where he attempts to rewrite history, twist the chronology, and the facts to fit a version of the truth, that gets him off the hook (even if it's just in his own mind).

Shame he didn't pick up the Protestant honesty and work ethic piece along the way either. He'd be Buddhist next week if there was TV coverage in it. Twunt.
