In order....
1. Nope.
2. Depends on the driver (my Z06 returns less MPG than Te51cle's 2002 C5 Coupe does).
3. Don't know as unless you own both cars from the same year and of the same value you are bound to get different quote

1. Nope
2. Drive it harder and more petrol will be used and it has a 6500rpm redline to play with
3. Nope, not with either insurer I tried (Hill House and Flux). In fact, Hill House gave me a stonking quote on a Z06 with all my NCB retained on my Camaro (with a different company) and 4000 miles a year.

I'll be lucky to do 4000 yards with my 4 year old daughter with us every weekend - unless she learns to sketeboard from the back bumper. Once I marry my gf in October, I may only have 9 months use of it... LOL. Most of the my mileage will go on the Camaro and the Astra (which is due for a change next year anyway). I'd be far better off selling the lot and buying a Cadillac CTS-V.
1. No, but it does have a firmer suspension.
2. It'll use more fuel due to lower gearing, but then the coupe has an excessively high top gear.
3. Coupe and Z06 are both group 20 and you can't get higher than that. Vetteheadracer's insurance is less than mine but once (if I make it without hitting anything !) I make it past 40 as well I expect the difference to be pennies.

I thought the Z06 claims one mpg or so advantage over the coupe? My father just bought a new Z06 so he could give his old coupe to my mom, cites the reason as "improved gas mileage

Well, it is nearly 100lbs lighter so less wear on the tyres too...honest! Also, with the glass being thinner, it's not so hard to see through.

Hi Nigel,
Regarding the C5R lights, you need to play around with them to get them set up just right. INstalling the brackets that the lights sit on is the bit that takes the most care as you have to try and mark the holes where you are going to drill by inserting your arm thru the hole were the indicator sits. Reminds me of gynocology for some reason but can't think why!
I am planning on building one bracket instead of the 3 that are supplied. The plastic bucket that the lights sit in is flimsy, but does the job and the lights themselves are robust as they are made from alumunium.
Overall I would rate the kit at about 7 out of 10 for the money.
