Dear Sgt. Preston, I can tell you why people are "inexplicably" obeying the speed limiton a stretch of road where there is a 100% chance of them getting caught if they speed is for that very reason. People will gamble that a GATSO will be out of film, or not active. When these digital speed inforcement systems are introduced, we're all told that we'll all get caught. Therefore, the only people who get caught are the occasional visitor who hasn't read the press reports telling everybody about this new fantastic system that has been introduced on the Nottingham Ring Road. If you want to reduce speeding, introduce digital speed cameras. If you want to generate revenue, keep the old style GATSO. Then at least you'll catch the gamblers. Yours stating the obvious James
