Off to NYC for the bank holiday weekend and really fancy a champgane brunch on the Sunday.

Done a Google and it's a minefield, so can anyone recommend some decent to go?

Cheers

Balthazar, Spring St, Soho - NY institution for brunch - like being in Paris, but in NY if that makes sense.

Go every time I visit, but don't let that put you off.

Oyster bar in the basement of Grand Central Station. Two dozen oysters, bottle of Pol Roger, sorted.

The Oak Room at The Plaza. There isn't really another answer to the question.
Not exactly cheap, of course.

I ate there many times when I lived in the US - great place, esp when I never had to pay for it smile

Went there yesterday. Always good food but most of the time you have to book in advance.

Indeed you do, I guess anywhere of note in Manhatten is the same - it's been an institution for a long time for a reason! thumbup

We always use the open table app. Very useful. Also, restaurant week ahs been extended in NYC. You can go to some great restaurants for reasonable money. We went to Mr Chows downtown and the bill was less than $150 which is a bargain.

Just got back from NYC and went to the Oak Room on Sunday for Brunch - good but not unbelievable.

I was after something grrrrrrreeeaaaatt and the Oak Room did not live up to my expecations, especially at the price - the only booze we had was 1 glass of fizz each and it cost $260

Oh well, there's always next time......
