I've had old Victorian pine floors sanded before and the guys used a resin type paste to the fill holes before sanding.

Anyone know what this is and where to get it? Tried Screwfix to no avail :-(

I thought you were meant to use the sawdust you collect, mixed with pva glue? I have no experience, but seem to recall this being something about getting a colour match...

DO NOT use PVA. There's only one way, sand the floor first to remove the coloured stained wood, empty bag and sand again. Mix clean sawdust with http://www.igoemailorder.co.uk/v2/index.php?page=s...
and spread over gaps/entire floor, you've only got about 30min so just mix enough at a time. Sand again.
For an avarage size room you'll probably need the 5ltr size, about £58 but the finish is incredible.
Finish with http://www.lowimpact.org/acatalog/natural_eco_frie...
Tip, use a short/micro roller.

as above... PVA will ruin the look. It will seal and not allow any stain into it etc . So after a bit you will notice spots etc

I tried the PVA + dust approach - I'd seen some expert on TV do it. It looked ace when I applied it - and then dried black frown
