Blind People - Etiquette at Dinner
Discussion
Hi guys,
A question to those who may know: we have some friends coming over to see us, which will be great. They have two daughters, one of whom is 16, and blind.
I offered to cook some dinner (sunday roast) and they said they would love to come. Is there any etiquette to how to prepare the food/ table for a blind person?
I'm assuming serve up for them, in already sized pieces, keeping the gravy separate in a jug on the table, but I'm open to suggestions.
I could just ask her mum and dad but I'd rather open it to the floor first, then I can appear all caring when they come over and I've already thought about/ discussed it.
Thanks in advance.
No prizes to anyone who only read the "they only have two daughters" bit and got distracted...

Prepare it the same as for everyone else.
Chances are you'll upset them more by making 'special allowances' / 'a fuss' than just to let them get on with it.
They're blind, they will have learned to cut up their own food, and probably dress themselves in the right order.
Alternatively you could liquidise the whole lot and put it in a sippy cup...

Every Ugly Blokes Dream! LOLI would imagine she has leant how to eat, or if not, that her parents are used to sorting things out for her, prep as normal, ask mum/dad if there is anything that needs to be done for her?
