Vinyl Wrap or Paint Re-spray
Discussion
Hi all
As there has been many posts that comment upon individual choice, it would be good to see members comments and also pics of their Vinyl Wrapped or Re-sprayed cars?
Here is my car Vinyl Wrapped in Lambo Orange
Lets see your comments and post your pics?
Peace
AJ

Dibbers - not sure what you're getting at.
Personally I think that car looks good, and I would consider getting a wrap - but the finish would have to be perfect for me to consider it. I'd also be worries about the cutting of the wrap affecting the underlying paintwork.
There's a guy on an MX5 forum who's just wrapped his Mk3 in yellow (yellow is not a standard paint colour from Mazda) and it looks really good.
I'm liking that Lambo Orange as well.

Sorry but I am going to have to call 'Custard' on your car. Mainly due to this Post... (of which I have highlighted the relevant points)
Looks distinctive for sure but not my personal colour cup of tea.
Epic car though
I see that you removed your original quote.....but remember that you liked the black Evora more....AnilJ said:
Hi buddy, it is the 2010 R35 Black Edition and by Wrapping from new will also help to protect the paintwork from stone chips, but most importantly it gives the car a distinctive look, something that you guys should all want if you are real petrol heads!!
I know there are haters out there about vinyl wrapping and re-spraying...but it dont matter to me as long as others enjoy the sight and give a thumbs up.....be distinctive and stay cool bro...
Peace

The wrap does protect the paint underneath and looks like new once removed. I also have the front and spolier VentureShielded as there is so much debris on the road and these parts take the most battering...glad that you liked the car and like you not sure what Dibbers is getting at....but hey hoPersonally I think that car looks good, and I would consider getting a wrap - but the finish would have to be perfect for me to consider it. The graphics production place we used at my last job does a wrap for about £1k on a car the size of a GTR iirc. One of the guys there frequently changes his own car himself as the material only costs about £50, imagine being able to do that
Is it actually quite difficult to do? I can imagine it takes a bit of patience around the trickier areas, but the larger panels (boot, bonnet, etc) should be fairly straightforward right?Or am I missing something?
Do you have to declare the change of colour to the DVLA with a wrap? Technically the car is still black underneath. Long term you'd have the usual stone chipping and day to day wear so the car will eventually look like the front had been shot blasted with black beads. Looks better than the car-bra but still looks tacky in my opinion.
