Hi Guys

I am looking to buy an ND10 Stop for a 77mm lens (Sigma 10-20mm is 77mm isn't it?) can anyone post up some examples?

Where is the cheapest place to acquire one?

How quickly can I get it. Money burning a whole in my pocket ....

Will I need to stack more filters for bright days etc?

Thanks

Scott

I went for the Cokin P-series. You'll need a filter holder (£12) plus an adaptor ring for the lens (£12) and then the filter elements. For example, a Cokin P ND8 is around £14. All these prices from www.warehouseexpress.com

You could also look at a kit which would give you the holder and a selection of filters (but not the adapter ring)

Thanks miniman

The cokin filter is £90 for the ND10 stop

I considered buying the Lee Big Stopper the other week, as it slides into the filter holder making it easier to add grads. With the screw on ND110 (I have the B&W one) you have to faf about if you want to add ND grads. But have read the big stopper is glass and very fragile, so decided to perceiver with the screw on type.

There are quite a few of the B+W ones floating around ebay if you don't want to wait.

Can anyone confirm if there is vignetting at 24mm on a full frame nikon camera?

I use mine on the 10-20mm & cropped censor, so FF at 24mm should be fine.

Tommorow I can get it for.

But now my sensible head says that I will only use it at the seaside. And that is rarely.

Bummer. I hate my sensible side.

Rubbish.

ignore you sensible head scott, I managed to convince myself I'd use it all the time, and indeed use it when it's completely needless and pointless, just so my sensible head doesn't get a look in hehe

Right

How many ND8's would I need to get the same effect as an ND110

I am aware it isn't an ND2 because 2+8=10 Like the store manager of jessops just told me?
