Took in a lap of 'The Wall' today to watch the 4X (the 4X track isn't far from the trail).

Some outstanding riding, the seniors were flying! But it was the juniors who impressed me, lacking the power for the big stuff, but technically very very good.

Awesome track too, I've never tried a 4X track (apart from the bottom of the Les Gets 1 track at Morzine) but the bottom half we could see looked rideable by most. looking forward to having a go soon.

Where abouts is this? - is it going to open / rideable the whole time? - looks like it would be quite good fun!

It's at Bryn Bettws Log Cabins.

You can drive there directly or it's about 1/2 way around 'The Wall' Trail.

I 90% certain it's open to anyone (race days aside) but there may be a small fee to use it.

oh, ok, so at the top of the last climb before the start of the last desent (if you ignore the sharp left, and another 100m of gentle climb thats needed to get to the start)
Will have to have a look next time i'm there!

Yeah that's it, the big clearing next to a road. It's a couple of hundred meters from there on the right, but it's dead easy to spot.

Looks like a hoot. Some big jumps to clear too.

Oh yes, biggest one is 10m point to point I'm told.

Aw Rubbish. I was at Afan last week and didn't even know about the course. Spent all week slogging XC rather than having fun pointing the bike downhill frown

Great views off of (part closed) Skyline though
