brought these from my local Lidl store today

never had a proper bratwurst before but they were lovely.

my question is are then more hotdog ish (balls/ears etc) or decent quality sausage quality?

they were only £1.50 and would reccomend them, they are lovely.

Well, they are all meat and spices - there are no fillers (rusk etc) like you find in many sausages. As far as I know it's mainly pork shoulder and pork fat. Although commercial ones may well include some other piggy bits... who knows!

Aldi and Lidl are always very good for meat.

I tried these a while back and they get a thumbs up from me.

Shouldn't it specify the meat percentage on the pack.

Balls/ears are counted in the meat content. It is after all, meat.

Used to have these walking back from the beach when on holiday as a kid. Bloody lovely (so who cares what's in them!).

How do these differ from so called 'normal' sausages?

And, you have to ask, what is wrong with balls and ears?

Offal is not awful. If it's cooked right most of the animal can be delicious.
