Silver TVR (with a hint of blue)

Hi TVR people,

Presently restoring John Eales ex track car a Marcos Mantula, (www.marcosmantula.com is the restoration blog) and have been giving much thought to the colour.

Saw a TVR at Castle Combe last week that was a lovely silver with a very slight hint of blue to it and spoke to the owner who was not sure what the actual colour was called.

Can anybody please help me with trying to find the code. A photo of the car attached may help, really want to settle on this colour after many months of looking at various cars,

Dont know the colour on the Cerb , but Rolls Royce Silver Mink may be worth a look.


Surface and Design may be able to identify the Cerb colour.

Hard to tell from that snap, but google Crystal Topaz. That could be a good match to the hue you seek

That looks the same colour as my Cerb (check my profile pic) if you think it's the same i'll find the code.

I think it's called Aluminium Silver, a Lotus colour i believe.

As mentioned earlier, Silver with a tint of blue sounds like crystal topaz maybe??

There are cerbs with a similar colour which is Jaguar Ice Blue, mostly silver looking, but with blue in it.

Looks same colour as mine, although digital photos/pc's dont always match up with true colour....anyhoo Crystal Topaz

My old cerb was Jag Ice Blue, noticeably bluer than the OPs pic. Crystal Topaz sounds like a good bet and is more dependent on lighting as to whether it'll look silver or blue.

My Cerb is a bluey-silver, it's a Ferarri colour - Grigio Pearl.

Maybe a bit more blue than you were looking for?

The cerb was silver however it had a bright blue Griff next to it, I think the blue in the pic is in fact the reflection of the griff. If you look carfully you can see the wheels etc.
