TVR Chassis No's.....
Discussion
I know that TVR just ran the chassis numbers straight through the whole range, so it is possible that a Sag number is followed by a Tuscan 2, which could then be followed by another Sag etc....
But I just wondered if anyone knows what the chassis numbers are of the last cars to leave the factory??? I have a late 2006 Sag that was registered new in June 2007. I understand that this was one of the very last to be fully completed at the factory just before the receivers were called in, but wanted to check just how far it is from the very last car.
Cheers FP

As far as I'm aware the chassis number doesn't necessarily relate to when the car was assembled or finished. I'd image the only way to tell when a car was finished would be to check the build records.
I know Surface & Design have access to some records but I don't know what period they cover.
They might be worth a call though.

The last 4 digits of your chassis no. are the build no of your car, so yes the build order could be a sag-tuscan-sag.But I just wondered if anyone knows what the chassis numbers are of the last cars to leave the factory??? Last 4 of yours and I will have a look.
Thanks matey. It is 1075 (2006). I know that the Sasperry Red one that Jason @ Str8Six finished and sold recently is 1086, so I reckon mine must have been once of the last that was actually finished in the factory, but if you could confirm it, that would be great - cheers!
Out of interest and don't know if you'll have this info, but what was the last number that the factory actually finished rather than being finished at a dealer some time later....

I think you need to be very careful the cars are in the same 'build' year when making comparisons.
Sag's only have two build years I think. '5' and '6'. Maybe the very early pre-production car, the track set up car and the two 05 press cars were on a '4', but thats about it surely?Even the LHD Sag (PF08UUL) that TVR launched at that Barn in 2008 as an all new model, is actually a 2006 model - despite TVR altering the Chassis No to '8' 1000. The car can even been seen in the pic below that was taken Jan 2007 just after the administrators had been called in.

Mine and the Sasperry Red one both have same 2006 '6' prefix before the build number, so I'm fairly confident that they are both 2006 build year cars. I had another 2006 Sag a few years ago (on an 06 plate - with the later plastic indicator stalks and Tuscan seats etc) and the one I've got now has got quite a few features that the even this car didn't have. Things like a seat-belt warning light and a 'MIL' warning light - all proper pukka TVR fixtures, definitely not aftermarket.

The blue sag 1075 was destined for australia along with the blue tuscan convert, thats why you have mil and seat belt warning in your car.

Yes it is one of the last, going through paperwork and other records but it is time consuming. will let you know if I can find anything.Out of interest and don't know if you'll have this info, but what was the last number that the factory actually finished rather than being finished at a dealer some time later....
I am still on the case for a Seac and on it for about 6 months, but I will get there if I can.
