Mk1 door weatherstrip question

I'm building a one-off Mini with a carbon fiber shell and have been trimming the shell recently. I don't know how wide the flange is that the door weatherstriping slips over. I know it's at least 1/2" but in some places it looks like it may be more. Can someone please measure the width of the flange around the door? Thanks.
