Heat Shield. Where To Buy?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier of heat shield? I'm about to fit the tuffnol gearstick mod and thought that while I'm there a little something extra to help prevent heat soak wouldn't go amiss, maybe also in the engine bay to protect the mounts etc. A sheet of something to cut to size and shape would be ideal.

Anyone?

Merlin Motorsport do some, but I don't think its of the self-adhesive variety (may or may not be a problem).

The very latest stuff is called Zircoflex, made by Zircotec, the people who do ceramic exhaust coatings. Have a quick search on line - its remarkable stuff....

Not sure if this what your looking for but i've recently bought some of THIS STUFF and it is rather good. I've used it along the inner wings and around the transmission tunnel all cut into various shapes. It is rather adhesive !

How thick and how flexible is the mat?
At £44 a m2 its a quater of the price of Zircoflex

3-5mm thick and it's very flexable and very adhesive ! I'm really quite pleased with the results and will be buying some more to go on the underside of the bonnet.

My engine bay is being done at the moment, so thinking about using this for the transmission tunnel and bonnet as well.

I did. Had to cut though in various places to get the contour of the trans tunnel just right. Remember, measure twice - cut once! I've some pictures somewhere, i'll dig them out for you. Am pleased with the result. I did also use some `plumbers tape` in places (very thin and super adhesive).
