Just wanted to share the best fish and chips I've had yet. Period.

I love living in Westboure, off to the Porterhouse for a few, and the Chez Fred.

You can even phone up (from the pub) and order your chips, and miss the queue.

Very good fish and chips. The only let down is the stupid queues at peak times and likewise the lack of parking during busy periods.

Quality over quantity. Who wants a massive tray of soggy tasteless chips?

Rushed out and bought a load of chips from Fred when a business meeting nearby overran lunchtime. Lovely. And you could see people wondering where the chip smell in the office was coming from smile Smuggled them back in a massive laptop bag !!

My parents used to take me to Chez Fred when I was a child, about 20 years ago. How has it managed to stay so popular for so long - especially when you see the demise of Harry Ramsdens for example.

Is it still eat in and take away ?
