Anyone else on this ferry ?
we need final approuch instructions for maison blance or close we are flying in Cherry Chimaera 450, Black SL55 AMG and a Blue Slowbaru with the groundcrew following in Support van.
camped in Houx annex last 2 years and only made it to Mc Ds and roundabout outside campsite so still looking for maison Blance.
Ps Also has any one seen our scooter?
Last seen being tossed into ditch by plod last year at the roundabout outside Houx Annex.

oh, and we had a nightmare finding Maison Blance last year. It sounds so easy from DustyC's description but we still spent a long time looking, largely due to the fact it didnt have its own sign like all the other campsites did.
Bascially drive past the grandstand down the road bordering the track - it is signposted for blanc and blue. As you approach blue on the right, MB is on the left, but you will drive through an actual track entrance which is what threw us...

Parking blyue is next to camping blue and camping white (masion Blanc) is opposite camping blue.
So if you follow signs to any of the above (as shnozz says) you should find it OK!
And dont worry if the campsite looks full when you arrive, they open an extra bit oput the back now. You have to drive trhough a gap in the wall at the far end. Dont worry, someone will point it out to you!

just found out we are on the 7.30 Portsmouth - le havre ferry actually. But keep an eye out in the lines at Pompey still...
No, not staying at Maison Blance this year - we are in Houx. I know MB has a lot of fans due to the proximity to the track but I prefer the more structured camp site set up and social side of Houx, plus the lack of 2 hour queues for the shower wont be missed. (ask DustyC to direct you to the shower/loo blocks away from the main entrance to avoid these)

...or, use the showers at the swimming pool in Le Mans town if you go for a drive/stocks etc.
thanks for top tips we got feed up washing in the sink at mcds last year when we went for Mcshit!
no only jokeing about washing as we camped next to shower block in Houx annex last year so picked best time to line up for shower.
At present planetdave and I are booked on the 3pm ferry Portsmouth to Caen but I am going to see if we can change the booking to the 8.45am.
The thought of arriving at Le Mans in the dark and having to pitch the tent is not appealing.
If I succeed then watch out for a red Griff.
