can you let me know how much your steering rack costs to get done inc labour.i presume its power. was it by any chance leaking from where the shaft goes into the rack..top seal i'm told.thanks....met & leaky racked hc

Just deleted the original message by accident, doh!!

It is leaking from that very same place, and it does make extra whining noises (annouying). Fortunately I`m having this lot (with the exception of the clutch) done under warranty, but I will try and find out how much normally gets charged for this job.
