Could You Please Measure Something For Me..?

I have posted about my rear shocks before. I had Avo's fitted and the TVR (so called) specialist nr Exeter told me that I would get away with keeping the original springs.
The shocks were fitted, but the springs didn't match up. The car now sits very high at the rear. I took it in to show them, they jacked the front up to match the rear(so it didn't look so stupid!) And said they would order the correct springs. New springs were fitted, and the bluddy car looked the same! They said it may settle in(they havent) and if they don't, call them and they will order some shorter springs. I have rung them 4 times, and sent them an email. But when I ring, the person 'who deals with that', is NEVER there, and they say he will call me back.
I'm getting so fed up with them, and it's making me resent the S, which I don't want to do, as it's the cars fault, it's the dicks at Dulford.
Could somebody please measure the gap from the top of the rear tyre, or ground, to the centre of the rear wheel arch for me? I know the S sits high anyway at the rear, and it's been so long that i'm starting to think it looks more normal!
I just don't want them to say it's fine when I take it back.

Top of rear tyre to centre of arch 4" ground to centre of arch 28".Tony
Obviously my outside tyre diameter is 24" in case thats relevant.

I've got an inch less !!
27" floor to top of wheel arch and about 3" tyre to wheel arch (standard size tyres)
But thats not how its always been, bought my Avo's from David Gerald TVR complete with springs I was told were to "original spec."
when fitted car sat far too high even with shocks wound down as low as possible. Before looking around for alternative springs I decided to cut two inches off the springs so I could play around and work out ride height and spring length I need.
Problem is now with ride height as above ( a balance between looking ok and keeping the exhaust off the floor !)the shocks are too long for the springs, ie when car is jacked up spring becomes loose on shock, no tension at all on it ?
Maybe "your guys" have fitted shorter springs but wound up adjuster to keep some tension on them but this in effect cancels out the change in length ?

Thanks for the help chaps. I keep the S at mums garage(mums are great!) So I will pop round later to measure the gap. When they fitted the new springs, they said that they had the shocks set to the shortest limit, but they still sit high. As the front end is still jacked up also, it doesn't handle too good at high speed.
Hi All. Just an update to say the new springs have now been fitted to the S! They also lowered the front end back to the right height.
I was a bit harsh on Dulford, the chap who usually deals with it had been very ill, so thats why I was finding it difficult to get the work done.
He has made a good effort to fix the springs asap, I got a courtesy car also, which made my life a lot easier today.
The S3 is handling great again just in time for the rest of summer!
