As above, a mate mentioned he saw a dark coloured pick up truck making progress through traffic today with blue lights, he wondered what emergency service it was, and was we all know, Pistonheads is the font of all knowledge....

doubtful, think he said it was unmarked apart from the blues, and I am guessing from his description, it was something like a mitsubishi L200.... (or similar)

It's the new fast response "tarmac your driveway for you sir?" unit, based at the travellers' camp nr Fairoaks.

They can even lay (poorly) your unwanted drive at night as the seem to have acquired a Nightsun spot from somewhere......

Thats interesting when you put the VRN (LX05 DVU) of that truck into the AskMid database
it tells you it's on it and insured but gives no details ????

Yep, sounds like it. I saw the same one on the Camberely/Frimley borders a couple of months ago. Just looks like a std black Navara without the blue lights.

I saw something similar (L200, or the like) on the M4 a few Saturdays ago, I did wonder if it was someone having a play, or something more sinister.
