2002 Volvo S60 D5 SE

picked her up on Friday night and have now done 600miles in her

stereo is superb (13 speaker ProLogic upgrade)
comfort is superb
performance is very surprising tbh (in a VERY GOOD WAY)
Fuel economy is amazing, 600miles so far on the first tank and more to go
handling is very good, nice and positive through the corners
brakes are amazing (mintex pads and discs)

overall I'm very pleased with her coffee

Well done Chris, a nice looking car smile
Having strayed into the diesel community myself, with very happy results, perhaps we should form a support group for other petrolheads who might like to join in (i've still got an outlet to burn petrol though wink )

thanks David smile
I've still got the white T5 (although vicky is now using it for work) and both bikes, so plenty of petrol getting burned here when the mood takes me biggrin

As we're in diesel self-confessing mode ..... we also have the Kinkmobile V3 - an Alfa GT Q2.

Do we need an SAS splinter group smile

Pah 600 miles to a tank- you are not trying. Wife has one of these, and on a long trip through France earlier this year we got over 950 miles on a tank before the warning light came on.
Just get the all the bushes etc checked, notorious for wearing out brakes and bushes due to heavy lump up front.

I estimate this tank will last about 750miles, which considering the way I have been enjoying her the last three days will be nothing short of a miracle in my eyes
bearing in mind my other car (Volvo 850 T5) with a few tweaks, does 350miles MAXIMUM from the same size fuel tank...it gives you some idea of the MPG figures I am used too

the drop links have been done recently and everything else feels tight as a drum, with no knocks, squeaks or rattles, she is wearing new MINTEX discs and pads.... the previous owner loved her as much as I do cloud9

so much for this one being bought as a "hack" and work horse rolleyes
