Ok stupid question.

XT M770

XT M761

Is the M770 just the latest model or it it refering to the differences in chainrings? I can't remember what the tooth count is on my current (slightly knackered) XT ones are...

"Standard" Cranksets are 22/32/44. These work well with a rear 11T-32T rear cassette. I spend 80% of my ride time on the middle 32T cog, I use the 44T occasionally on a down hill or fast flat. I doubt I would ever use a 48T cog.

ETA this is for MTB use of course!

M770 is the latest (9spd at least) XT groupset, which included the M770 XT Shadow Rear Derrailleur.
