British Classic Sports Cars - Cadwell 24/07/10
Discussion
My first attempt at taking any kind of motor sports photos, harder than expected! Haven't done any cropping or editing yet.
Taken with a Sony A100 and a Sigma 75-300 lens.

The rest are here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/neilgallagher/sets/72...
Think I need to move positions a lot more next time to avoid 'different car at same angle' not easy with a two year old in tow though!

Some good shots there, am no expert and am learning myself but motorsport pictures look best with blur imo.
I took this the week before at the 750 at Cadwell from the spectators seating.

By no means perfect but the blur gives it a sense of motion, but tracking and panning is not that easy.
I do however think it is stupidly hard to find a decent spot at Cadwell, I am only 5ft tall so was constantly battling with a fence to try and get a good shot.
Still good shots!

Thanks, I know what you mean about getting good angles at Cadwell
Depends on your lens and where you stand, the first one is from the bank behind the Mountain grandstand, the other is from Hall bends, both with the Sigma 150-500.

These two were at Hall bends with the Nikkor 70-300VR
