Have test driven one, brilliant fun, surprisingly quick, paddle shift good fun, sounds like a 911. Too much money, if you're looking for one as well as a TVR I'd get a good Daihatsu Charade Gtti for about £3k.

Great cars!! Had one for over a year and don't want to get rid of it (first for me) 'other' car at the mo' is an S2000 and the Smart is usually the car of choice :-) Plastic body means no worries abount dents and dings when parking and very roomy with lots of nice design touches. 2nd hand you'll get one for the same money as a charade - which are nasty to look at and drive after the luxury of a smart.

...just remembered the Brabus bits are V. good but v. expensive - check out www.smartclub-uk.com for info on alternative sources of 'chipping' and brabus bits etc. There are some photo's of the latest 'wide boy' brabus/smart and rumors of a 138bhp version (this thing weighs about the same as an elise!)
