What about a Forza Rallycross series?

Just been tinkering about on Forza, with a 550bhp RS200'd fiesta, and wondered if there would be any interest in a rallycross series? Stupidly powered hatchbacks, AWD, short courses like tsukuba? Big bodykits and fancy paintjobs!

Best track for rallycross is Sebring, as none of the grass is of the supersticky variety. Plus there are a couple of places where you can make up a bit of time by going offroad.

i've never organised one of these before, but we could have a mini series, with hatchbacks and the like, and then maybe a saloon class or different lobby? The 500 odd bhp awd fiesta is quite fun, i can almost manage a continuous drift around tsukuba

The RS200 fiesta is mad... But so is my twin-turbo R36 MK4 golf or TT R32 'rado/MK2/MK1! It's all about silly hatchbacks!

Audi Quattro S1, RS200`s, Lancia Stratos & all the Focus/Fiesta specials would be the cars for the job. Perhaps just a selection of mini circuits at S600 would be the way to go intially to keep it fast & frantic & the cutting across the grass thing can be sussed out on a track by track basis when someone sorts out if a grasstrack route for each round is do-able..

Mud splashed paints would be a nice touch too.

so long as they're similar ratings or power/weight then quattros and bigger cars should be a good mix with the fiestas etc. Just wondering how to layout/organise the grass elements of the circuit at the moment. Only way I've thought of doing so is to run a full lobby and doing rally stage runs, with the 5 non competitors cars laying out the route

Run two classes too, AWD and FWD/RWD, with make things fun. Would hate to see this dominated by AWD when there are so many great RWD rally cars already in the game or coming soon in the DLCs

Thats a good point there.

I've been trying the offroad element, I think we'll just keep it to short twisty type tracks, Can't really see the grass element working.

Pardon my Laziness for not searching, but when does the DLC come out? Definately have to get that!

There is quite a few tracks with cones, the more the better...just occured to me that carefully pushing cones into place before forming a grid at the sections of the circuit being cut could line the designated route.

I'll pencil myself in for this, depending on the start date. As for the off-road aspect, I think the cones would regenerate back into their original positions after a couple of laps; they seem to in normal public lobbies online. I think the easiest thing to do would be to say cutting corners is legal and then it's up to the drivers to find where they can go off road at each track?

I also like the idea of running two classes, perhaps have a compact class for things like the Fiesta and Fiat 500 up to Golf Mk5 size then an "unlimited" class where you can run anything you like, both with PI limits of maybe S700?

I think the short track idea will work, gives lots of options. Has to be run with full damage as rally cross is non contact (yeah right) and will encourage 'clean' racing and leaning rather than full on ramming.
