Discussion
In the news... Mr Plod steals camera off journo and deletes his photos...

Something very wrong with the way the gatherers behaved here IMHO.

Journalists..right up there with Politicians when they gave out scruples. Nothing like taking pictures of the bodies being removed from a car and then splashing it all over the front page. F@ck the families, the need to sell papers is paramount. There is no low they won't sink to too get the 'scoop'.

But it states in the article that the occupants of the vehicles had already left the scene.Edited by Elroy Blue on Friday 23 July 13:50

Bloody hell he's aged. Looks better for wearing his hair shorter. I remember him well from Glastonbury back in '85. Certainly seems like he has lost some love and pride now.Guam said:
Dont know why he is creating a fuss about the deletion, if the card was still in the camera and he is a pro he knows 10 minutes with forensic recovery software and hey presto they are back!!
cheers
Hardly the point, is it.cheers
It's 'cause and effect'. The camera shouldn't have been removed and 'tampered with' in the first place.
The officer was bang out of order. He returned the camera? What's wrong with dropping it on the road and saying, "Whoops, be carfeul you don't drop that, sir, now f
k off."?
If it had been a member of the public taking a photo of a building or train station or whatever I would have been ticked off. But a journo going about their scummy business? Good riddance.

Yes, slag off the innocent party and completely ignore yet another case of the police acting illegally. I think it would be prudent to question your scruples if officers breaking the law doesn't bother you, but slagging people off seems to be a priority.Edited by Elroy Blue on Friday 23 July 13:50

Have you forgoten richard Brunstroms little trick yet? He used a picture of a dead motorcyclist for publicity without asking or telling his parents
f
king police lowest of the low the, lower that politicians and reporters? or is it ok when they do itI hope you are not a copper generalising against an entire group like that.

But if you think I'm going to have sympathy for a journalist, think again. I've dealt with too many fatals where they'll do anything to get a picture of the scene/body and then hound the families. And when the family refuse contact, they make it up anyway. Absolute snakes.

No, not interested. Police taking cameras away should know better, because it leads to teddy throwing by various members of the public and all they achieve is making themselves look silly.
So you don't care that the police break the law you just don't want the public to 'throw their teddies if they do'. If you are/were a copper do you take the same 'no, not interested' approach to evidence?Elroy Blue said:

Yet again you group all journolists as the same because of some experiences. DO you do teh same with other groups? Black/Asians/Travelers/gays?No comment on Brunstrom doing it? Are you a policeman?

ALL the journalists I've ever dealt with have been snakes, so I have mine own opinion of them. As a human being, I form personal opinions, it's what our species do! Putting on a uniform doesn't turn us into Politically correct robots. The cliche about asians/gays/blacks is laughable.
Brunstrom was an arse of the highest order. I don't comment on him because I was under the impression everyone knew he was an arse. Yes, I am a Policeman.
Next question.
