How do you get rid of the bloody smell?

My wife managed to traipse a load into the kitchen, as one of the little b45t4rds had crapped on the lawn.

We've washed the floor (stone) three times so far with a variety of cleaning fluids, bleaches and disenfectatnt. But there is STILL a lingering smell.

Driving me nuts and making me feel queasy.....

A disinfectant with a 'flowery' smell like 'Zoflora'. (This is difficult to get hold of.) Independent hardware shops may be the best bet.

My dogs (both female)seem to think that the smell of fox poo is a fine fragance, therefore any chance they have they'll roll on it, euww!

I had tried many things to vanish the smell completly, even after giving them a bath! The only thing that did get rid of the smell was tea tree oil shampoo.

Maybe you could try to get some tea tree oil and rub it directly onto the problem area then wipe it off, its worth a try.

The smell of fox poo makes me gag! ! !

Good luck!

I am now getting funny looks for singing "Fox st, fox st, you can't get away" to the tune of Mike Oldfield's "Crises".

Yep, ours does the same, but she gets a double bath and that eliminates the smell from her at least.

I had thought about BBQ lighter fluid all over the floor and a box of Swan Vestas biggrin But I think that the wife kinda likes the kitchen cabinets without the singed look....

I think I'll try a concoction of Zoflora (I actually have a couple of small bottles courtesy of my Mum - how do old ladies always manage to find this stuff? - and some strong smelling tea-tree handwash.

My wife won't let me hang out of the bedroom window with a .22 as a preventative measure though.... frown

Nah; I don't think that the Muslim foxes have reached this part of Dorset yet. And anyway, my diversity policy isn't that extreme.

Cut your nose off, there is no other way of losing the smell.

If you're suggesting that foxes may be muslim... scratchchin

We found a dead fox in our garden; long story short: we cremated him. That's when the trouble started...

i haven't tried it myself, but i have been told that tomato sauce / chopped tomatoes will neutralise the smell.

i was told once by a septic that he had to use it on his dog when it got too close to a skunk when they were on holiday back in the states.

i have also heard it from an aussie, and recently i was told it about fox poo as well.

so it may have some credence.

Deja vu! This has been done befoe, hasn't it?

No Muslim foxes here; it was a refernce to the toilet that has been installed somewhere due to some slightly misguided diversity policy.

Sort of makes sense, maybe due to the high acid content of toms.
