We're off to the south of France for a few weeks and I am going to be royally pissed off if it isn't hot and sunny. So assuming the weather is good - what filters would you take for a beach holiday?

Depends on what your taking pics of smile. If it’s the wife and kids then nothing. But for scenery ND grads are a must. A 2 and 3 stop ND grad should cover most situation. (You can add the 2+3 together). Go for hard ND grads (as apposed to soft) as they aren’t that hard.

For landscapes you'll want an ND grad (2 or 3 stops) and a circ polariser.

For sunsets/sunrises you may want a reverse ND grad.

For seascapes a variable or set of ND filters, 2,4,8 is good.
