Where to eat between Worcester and Bristol?

I'm meeting a friend for dinner next weekend and we are meeting halfway-ish between Worcester and Bristol. Any suggestions of where to eat with easy access from the M5? Neither of us are particularly fussy eaters so don't really mind what type of cuisine it is!

Thats quite a difficult area for good eating! I was going tio suggest the Beehive in Cheltenham but its not halfway. Stroud is probably halfwway but I cant think of anywhere particularly good near the motorway.

Try Storytellers in Cheltenham

Always has an interesting menu and good wines - try some of the Thelema reds from South Africa - not cheap but stonking wines.

It's been over 10 years since I went there but the Daffodil in Cheltenham still seems to get good reviews. Inspires me to go again, in fact.

Daffodil, is good, Story teller quite good, Montpellier wine bar is also quite good, if you are rich the Champignon Sauvauge has two Michelin Stars.

But Cheltenham is not half way its much closer to worcester

Thanks for the suggestions.....will look into them and present the findings to my friend. Was thinking Gloucester/Stroud area as the halfway point, but I'm sure either one of us wouldn't mind going slightly further.

Very tricky around Stroud and near to the motorway. Its a culinary dessert, as for Gloucester
