Hmm. I notice the Berridge / Caroline car managed but one lap?

The Stockton / Evans / Stretton car turned in 14 laps and was 10th in class.

Ok, they must have a problem with the 92 car.

Second practice over and strangely no sign of the 91 team of Stockton / Evans /
Stretton this time?

However, the Berridge / Caroline / Caine line up was 33rd fastest and 12th in GT,
although a clear 2 seconds off the 91 team AND they used the 91 car not their own.

Perhaps they just needed to get a Q time and were told on pain of death not to thrash the loaner .

It's just testing at the moment, you can use whichever car you please.

That could be handy for TVR when the other one breaks, they can borrow a Porsche!

The new TVR shape (low, wide and long) looks great - its very hungry looking...

That was Joao in the first session I think. I'm not too sure whether Martin or Rob were driving in the first session too, though.

Thanks for that.

What is your view on that performance? Is Robb or Martin off the pace or was the session different with rain or oil or whatever?

As Simon already said, it's just the test session. The lap times in the test session don't say much about the performance during qualifying or the race. I guess they used the track time to learn the circuit and set up the car and not to break the lap record.

Yeah OK - I understand that but hey there is not going crazy and then there is being 7 seconds off the pace!!

7 seconds is a feck of a long time - thats like something has broken!

There are some detailed reports at Club Arnage for those without access to DSC. I hope that's ok. Here's the link www.clubarnage.com/yabbse/index.php?board=11;action=display;threadid=1581

Interesting.

The car is now to maximum class permitted dimensions and very close to the weight limit.

The 91 TVR suffered “An electrical fault, the wiring loom broke when a rod came
through the side of the engine!”
