Mobile PH has kicked me out on my phone and won't log me back in. Once I select to use the full website it's no problem and I'm automatically logged in. Any ideas what's wrong? I would stay on the full site but it sometimes runs slow on the phone so mobile is often easier to use.
Phone is an iPhone BTW in case that makes a difference.
Oh and why isn't there an app for this place?

If you are having problems logging in to the mobile site then going to mobile.pistonheads.com and then clicking "Members" and logging in there normally sorts it. The login boxes in the forums can be a little temperamental.Phone is an iPhone BTW in case that makes a difference.

We don't have an app because there is very little point, what would it do that the mobile site doesn't?

However, have tried to log on using the method you describe, it doesn't seem to be recognising my password. Unless I've forgotten it

everytime i click on a thread it says connection time out FFS 
The timeout problems are not related to the mobile site but an issue with the main site. Unfortunately we have to put a timeout on the mobile site if the main site is not responding.
We are working on the main site issues at the moment to try and find the cause of these 5 minute blips, and once that is solved the mobile site will stop having timeout problems.

Pete, is there something that can be done please? Can you add a delete button on posts as per the full site, quite often the mobile site will double, maybe even triple post and you can't get rid of the 1/2 spare posts, just edit to say "damn" or some such.
Interestingly I thought the edit button was there on the mobile site, it is for me??? Delete isn't though and that is something we would need to add.RacingPete said:
On the double post thing... This is caused by clicking the submit button more than once. For example if I click it 8 times when I add a post I can get it to have 8 posts, double click it then I will get 2 posts.
True, but whats been happening is that im submitting my post then i get a screen saying connection timed out so i go back a page (as i cant get to anything else from the connection time out screen as it wont load) press submit again and it double or triple post.Good to know you guys are working on it and thank you for putting up with our constant moaning

Well the update works asynchronous and does not timeout as that is a fire and forget request back to the server. The page afterwards will timeout if there is a problem and that is only the display page to say it has submitted and where you want to go next. I can see the confusion that this does look like the post hasn't submitted and the natural reaction would be to try again.
The only fix to this is to get the servers responding better so the timeout page does not appear, which we will hope be fixed very soon as we work through the issues causing this.
And don't worry about the moaning, after 3 1/2 years of it we are oblivious
