Problem using braces ( {{{ ) to format code.

I have been trying to format three lots of code within a post.

The first code segment worked fine, but the second two resulted in

this is a test

being displayed.

Test 1

[NOWIKI]

Test 2

[NOWIKI]

Test 3

[NOWIKI]

In fact, I have tried the same thing in this very post, and you can see the formatting has gone south!

Have a problem too with quoting in SPL on the "insurance question" thread, correct quote brackets etc there just arn't working when posting.

Only one set of code brackets is possible in each post. It's on the bugs list, but we are not likely to get chance to fix it for a while yet.

I'll just remember to constrain the quoting of code!

This normally happens when there is either a missing or extra /quote tag in the post somewhere. It isn't related to anything behind the scenes playing up.

Strange characters in usernames also screw up the quoting.

Some more suggestions while we're at it...

- Make it accept [code][/code] as well as curly brackets (as in BBcode)

- Make it accept URL tags in BBcode format: [url=blah-de-blah]link text[/url]. The current format is back-to-front compared to both BBcode and HTML (<a href="blah-de-blah">link text</a>) and this is confusing.

- Make the word censors ignore URLs. Currently you can't link to, for example, anything about Shorpe or other URLs that trigger the censors.

We've banned special characters from usernames a while back now, but are not forcing people who already have them to change.

Your other suggestions are all good ones though, so I've added them to the to-do list.
