Plastic rear window on Chim

Hi, can anyone give me a rough idea how much it would cost to have the rear plastic window replaced on a chim. Also does anyone know of a good car trim garage in Suffolk.

I can recomend BJ Trimmers just outside Chelmsford, they did mine for £150 about 2 years ago.

Mine (Classic Line) refused to cover it under the glass excess as it's not glass

I was with either Sunninghill or Mannings at the time, and they took the view that it was covered and also posed a security risk.

Both mine are now with Classicline, lets hope the Chimaera one stays ok then!

It's a bit of a grey area with plastic windows and much of it will depend on the policy and the insurer. Technically, it is 'glazing' and given that some cars now feature polycarb windows, it could be argued that 'glass' is just a material which does the same job as plastic / polycarb etc.

Some insurers will allow 'specialist glazing' while others will shrug it off.

Got mine done for £90 a couple of weeks ago. I took the hood off and took it to him to do.

He is a one man outfit just outside Milton Keynes. Did a pretty reasonable job, but stitching is slightly crooked in one place.
