Folks, I have a mate's garage to clear out and damp-proof. It's a concrete walled carage with a corrugated roof on a wooden trellis. It is leaky and damp, and has branches growning from nearby trees across the roof. There is also vegetation inside.

How on earth do i go about this? Can get photos, too, if that helps.

Slowly?

Short of bulldozing the thing I can't think of any way that isn't going to be a ballache.

Get some pics up.

First - are the trees holding the roof up? If they are this could get expensive!

I would go crazy with some weed killer/agent orange to clear the vegetation, then sort the roof. Is he willing to throw some money at it to make it weather proof?

If it was a "he" I'd not be doing it. She'd be willing to spend a few hundred, I reckon. The branches lay over, and trap water, I reckon, so i can cut them back. I'll get some photos.

Sounds like a pain. I've had similar where a huge clematis wound itself around my shed, fence, trellis and other trees. Working out what to cut and where in the hope of preserving some growth was just too difficult so I resorted to secateurs, long-handled croppers and a bush saw. It took a while to chop it out in little pieces but I managed to leave everything else standing.

I suppose what I'm saying is patience is the key.
