Where did they go...these days its all about shoot em ups and there is no games like this anymore apart from the remakes!

There are plenty of games like this out there. Steam is a good starting point making access easy to 'indie' games www.steampowered.com

I'm sure there are plenty more sites dedicated to non-shooty games.

I was just reading through and saw everyone talking about shooting games...nothing against therm but they get a bit repetitive.

There used to be a website called Home of the Underdog that had a load of old abandonware games, it´s been a while since I looked it up, but it´s worth a Google...

I miss the old adventure games too. I guess the reason is, the current generation of consoles is so advanced that games like that would be seen as old-fashioned, since they wouldn't be using the hardware to it's full. All the games companies seem to want to do now is make blockbuster FPS/ Sports titles.

I want someone to make an Amiga emulator for the iphone!

Broken sword is on iPad... Working my way through it at the moment. Not too bad. Have monkey island on the ipod as well, but haven't tried it yet.

It Came From The Desert, on the Amiga - Brilliant game just hated swapping disks every two minutes.

'The Dig' and 'Day of the Tentacle' (both LucasArts titles) are two of my favourite games ever. Although I think Fallout3 is right up there with them too.

One of my all-time favourites, I still play it (and can usually finish it!).

You need an external disc drive, helped cut down the disc swapping!
