How do you tell how much is left in a typical BBQ gas bottle? Is there a way?

Is there a gauge you can get that shows you, and if not, why not?

Weigh it and compare with a full one.

Yes, there is.

Run it for a bit and then see which bit is cool and which is ambient. The cool bit is the remaining gas.

ETA - that's the bottle, not the BBQ...for the hard of thinking!

You can tip some water on the side and the water cools where the gas is showing the level that tony is talking about smile

The Calor ones I get have a gauge on the valve. That makes it easy.

Not really a BBQ if you're using gas, is it? It's just a gas grill.

I dunno! Still plenty of potential to burn the food to a cinder! hehe

Can you not put a pressure gauge on it?
