Gents, I have a dream....

The church is only around the corner but would love the photos to be more petrol fuelled than me arriving on foot. Our ceremony is 2pm on 23rd, so arrival at the Church would need to be 1:30pm or thereabouts.

Bluesatin (Ultima owner) very kindly offered to drive me to the nearby church on the afternoon of 23rd July in his GTR. Sadly he's got engine woes. So....thought I'd check in here with the rest of you chaps. So I'm wondering, is there a fast car owner that might be willing to help make my big day even more spectacular? I can offer only a grateful handshake, some fuel money, and a copy of the arrival snaps our photographer takes!

Cheers EdT

TVR Sagaris can be at your disposal? Or would you prefer an Escort Cosworth?

rofl

I can imagine it already:

Wife to be: Who's that lady who just dropped you off in the flash car?! furious
EdT: Oh don't worry love, I met her through the internet.

Just to clarify, I'm not laughing at a woman owning an R8. That's very cool.

Something similar happened to me Ed - only I was looking for a sports car to leave the church in rather than arrive. I had organised a Ferrari 550 Maranello for the 200 yards to the recption, but sods law it had a faulty immobiliser so the chauffeur driven 750iL it was... I should have hopped on the vintage bus with the rest of you guys

Funny how one never has a sports car at ones disposal when the wedding bells start chiming

Have a great day my friend, I'm sure this lot will sort you out with something suitable!

Not being funny BlueCat but even if you are remotely attractive that could pay the fuel bills very nicely. Can you imagine the blokes who would pay £50 just to be picked up by a lady in an R8 with all their mates watching out the pub window?

There's money in dem dare hills...

Nope we kept it for longer as it such a good fund raiser for H4H, recently did the Scottish Motor Show and the Windsor Leisure Show, have made around £20K now for H4H over the past few months.

Nice idea smile but considering how much it costs to full up a R8 these days, I would either have to give a lots of rides laugh or look like Miss World to be able to charge a lot more money to make it a money making venture!!!

Great work Jane, we were talking about what a dream time we all had last year at Goodwood thanks to you and the Phil Packer day and then the FOS selling raffle tickets. I am doing some bits with VXR and HFH this year smile
