<4k miles and immaculate would point to the higher price rangeof say £5-6k (plus?) however it largely depends on what the service history shows and how those 4000 miles were done... a car that has sat for years doing nothing should have been stored correctly and even then I would expect rubber components, hoses, tyres etc would have been replaced or need replacing by now.
If the service history shows replacements and it is as good as it sounds it will be well worth the time and effort to bring it up to scratch and you will have a great car...

Make sure that the car has been recommissioned properly. If it has been standing for some years you may find that it will, literally, blow itself apart after you start using it. If it has been stored correctly and the paint and chassis are immaculate it would be difficult to value. I agree with Barkychoc that you could be looking at five figures but it comes down to whatever someone would pay. What else could you buy for that sort of money which could come close?

I can only say that the car is concours.
All the brakes and clutch cylinders have just been replaced and it has a fresh MOT.
It's been serviced every year and has not been used since 2003
....and it's mine - picked it up yesterday.
It does have a slight running problem insofar as from time to time it hunts on tick over. I suspect this could be something to do with 7 year old petrol. (any other suggestions welcome)
I lied about the mileage it's 4,250.

£4K! - I actually feel a little guilty as the owner was a really nice guy who wanted the car to be looked after more than anything. It's also the maximum I wanted to spend.
Having driven it - it is going to need some recommissioning. Its been off the road since 2003.
The Fuel smells like varnish and it runs rough at tick over and at minimum throttle;(hunting)- which I gather is common with the 2.9. and from what I've read it is not difficult to fix. Any recommended specialists for this in the NW Kent area?
I also want to remove the fuel tank and either drain it or recommission it as it has a lot of surface rust on the outside so probably the same on the inside (is this possible / easy?).
The rear springs look rusty and all the screw heads inside the wheels arches are the same.
Other than that it is totally spotless - unmarked inside and out. It also has a full and comprehensive service history with every MOT to justify the mileage and 2 fitted covers.
I'll take some piccies when I get back from Le Mans.

Shame I am so far away as would love to view it in the flesh. Can't wait to see the pictures of what a factory fresh one looks like. Please can you include a few of the engine bay. Enjoy your gem
